This has been a consistently excellent bakery for decades. The bread is like no other I’ve tasted. It’s very sad that the chicken jalfrezis are no more, they were unique and delicious, but this remains an outstanding establishment that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Wow! Just picked up a Jalfrezi pasty from the bakery today. Can't believe I have lived in Patcham for 2 years and this is my first time. Couldn't reccomend more.

Had a chicken jalfrezi pie/pasty before driving back to London. Genuinely is the best pie I have ever had with massive chunks of chicken packed into soft pastry with a spicy, but not too hot, sauce. Delicious and great value for money.

If you have memories of what a bakery smells like, feels like and looks like from the time when it didn’t have to be trendy, expensive or modern then this is where you need to go. The bread is fantastic and the baked goods will make you dribble with anticipation. When these places are gone I just hope you took the time to seek them out and experienced the utter enjoyment of real life no nonsense unbelievably good baked goods and bread. My heart sings every time I visit.

This is a lovely small old fashioned bakery - a real little gem that I discovered on my walk. The sausage rolls were absolutely superb, and the two crusty bread rolls were delicious too.

The jalfrezi pasties here are the best thing you'll ever ever put in your mouth, however, the service is as ancient as the building itself, when they bake seven that's it, untill "whenever they bake some more" is what you get over the phone, given how much demand there is, you'd think they'd want to sell more....

Patcham Bakery is something of an institution, I have had a Saturday standing order with them for as long as I can remember, well over two decades. Some may see a village bakery as a blast from the past, but judging by the continuing popularity of this one it is a tradition that locals are more than happy to support. Bread, cakes and hot pastries and pasties are all top notch quality and very much home-made here in Patcham.

I bought some doughnuts from a SUPERMARKET = it was like eating white bread rolled into a ball with something sweet in the distant middle . It was a joyless, soulless experience. Then I bought a doughnut from THE VILLAGE BAKERY = faith in doughnuts restored .

Legendary. Get there early and bag a deservingly popular jalfrezi pasty and a piggy biscuit for lunch, and some perfect crusty rolls for your tea.
